Simultaneous chess
Something a bit more experimental this time. I always wanted a tactics game where both players commit their moves and then they get resolved at the same time. I though I'd start with chess as a programming exercise.
I'd also like to figure out if there's a point to this kind of thing at all. The problem is I suck at chess. So anyone who likes chess and gives this a go let me know if you like it or if you think there's something lost and nothing gained by doing this!
To play, you could make a public room and wait for someone to join but I don't imagine that people will flock to this (and I'm not sure how if they can; I'm using a free host that probably can't handle a lot of people.) so your best bet is to find a friend elsewhere and play together.
Private rooms are not really private, just hidden. You can enter them by typing their name and hitting enter even though they don't appear on the list.

This is a really cool idea, I've often wondered what it would be like but it's frustrating to play over the board. Now I just gotta find someone to play it with...
