Super Mario Bros comes to the browser! Again! For the Nth time!

What's the twist this time around? Well, no loading screens and the levels are scrambled!

Also um... a compelling story? I dunno, I guess that's all. Huh.

Be warned that it may take some time to load, even after loading Graphics and Music, because it's building the level.

If you experience stuttering and lag on firefox try it on chrome. Unfortunately it seems to run better there. It's a little bit my fault too. I didn't remember this game was so long so I went light on some types of optimizations and I did zero dynamic level loading. I just threw memory at my problem like all terrible programmers. Oh Well! My apologies to people with old machines. Firefox does seem to struggle with webgl more than chrome though...

This game came about after I created (see: shamelessly stole from this video) a physics system for typescript. I wanted to actually use it so I decided I'd practice making a game for the browser without a game engine. So here we are now. Moral of the story: What a pain in the ass. Had fun though.

Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Update: Created some builds for desktop to download if you want to play offline.

I'm died so many times I caught the scenery switch in front of me. X_X

is it possible to make a sonic bro(w)s(er) ?

Sorry no plans for that. It would definitely be much more difficult.

Very fun game

Super Mario Bro(w)s(er) Gameplay

I'm not sure what I just played through but it was pretty amazing! Nintendo should lowkey make warp pipe animations function like this, though I think Miyamoto would agree that you made the Fire Flower a bit overpowered :P

Well if you can throw fireballs might as well some fun with it!
